Bunnies are an amazing animals to be around. They each have their own personality. They are very active, and love to play. A joy to watch in person though most people think they are boring.

We started with 1 and the next day we had 2. Before the first year we got 2 more, than alittle after the year we adopted 1. 2007 comes along and we some how add 3 more to the family but lose 1. Current total....8 bunnies. 

4 were from petstores. 2 of those 4 were in 2007. I can not say that I will never get another bunny from a store. (Ok I KNOW that I would never get a marshalls bun from a store.) Some of the bunnies I have the strongest bonds were from petstores.

First up....

Ringo Starr aka Dingo Butt

Start with Ringo, who is our first bunny. He was an impulse purchase for me. Not for my husband who had wanted a rabbit. I thought he was cute but wanted a lionhead (though he was sold already) and than one with more black on him. Was for my husband so his choice. On the drive home I held him on my lap. It was not long before I fell in love. He is a social guy with lots of love in him. He has fought to live and does not give up.

Something I should put here is that Ringo was not named after Ringo Starr the singer! I got Ringo from a baby name book it meant apple in japanesse. At the time Gwen P. had named her daughter Apple. Starr was a soap character I like on OLTL.  

Something I wrote on his second gotcha day...

Ringo Starr today is your day. You have graced our lives for two years. We have cried and laughed with you in that time. Some of the moments we were not sure if we would have you the next day. I held you in my arms never letting go. For two weeks I slept an hour here and there making sure you stayed with us, I would do it again with out a second thought. Some how you have always pulled through, showing us your strength.

Connor Grayson aka Commando Pando

Than came Connor Grayson, my heart. He is for sure my baby. Something about him says there is alot more to him than what people see. He isn't most people fave but if you met him, you would see that he is amazing.We believe that out of the bunch he is the smartest one. The things he get into, the things he seems to understand are amazing.

Connors First Gotcha Day

Today is one year that this tiny black ball came into our lives. He came into our home, and into our life to be my sweet little girl. Turns out he is my sweet little devil boy. I love him with all that I am. He is an odd little guy with the neatest litter habbits. Who has a bunny that waits until he is in his cage to go in his litterpan in only one corner? He is feisty but can tell when your sick and try to care for you.

Happy Gotcha Day Connor! We love you.

Teresa Mekare, was a show bun that someone got from a friend and than her boyfriend was a allergic an said if she could get rid of it he would get her a sugar glider. So Teresa moved to the porch in the dead of winter.Not long we went shopping for litter at Petco and an employee saw us with Connor and was like... Would you like another bunny? Shes small cute, an has gone to show. I think she won, my friend used to own her. Yea you get the picture. So along came Teresa Mekare. A tiny ball of perfection.

Dallas Jinx Jones, was a bunny who along with his brother that were turned into 3Bunnies Rabbit Rescue ( 3Bunnies ). The former owners could not afford the vet care for them. When Teresa went looking for a friend we were lucky that on our first try we got Dallas and as they say the rest is history.

Elvis Aaron aka Elbis

Elvis Aaron was dumped at a Pet Supplies Plus when his former owner could no longer care for him. I walked in one day and saw him. It was love at first site. He was sitting in the corner moping when he saw us he jumped up, started dancing right than and there. I felt this connection to him. I was crying my eyes out right than and there in the middle of the stores. I cried that whole afternoon and night. Than I got him and he was supposed to go somewhere else but stayed.

My husband picked him up the next afternon, he said that the bunny
struggled with the store employee even though he was being handled
right. When we opened the box he let me pick him up with no worries,
I put him down and he took off in binkies. We than put him on the bed
with us to take pictures. We laid back to watch him and he climbed up
and flopped above our heads.

First Time I Saw Elvis

I had my heart torn out today

I had my heart torn out today. Went to the only place I find litter at a good price. They have a beautiful bun that was dumped because the owner was moving. So friendly looks like a dwarf. Almost all white just a few splothes near the tail in black. The eyes were grayish blue. Nose was clear, ears, clean front paws were clear. Looked healthy. The cage it is in is horrible! Tiny, little bigger than a ten gallon tank. It went right up to the window trying to come near me. It started to dance around in its tiny space.

I have seen them before and have been fine but this one had me crying 20mins straight. They are selling him for $25. I talked to an employee and she said it is so hard for them to sell the older ones.

I am kind of depressed. I know it is wrong but I want to go back and get it. You could see it wanted to run.

Wyatt Holliday Earp aka Naughty Nibbler

Wyatt Holliday Earp came to us from New Jersey, he was posted on a forum that I moderate ( RO ). I fell in love but didn't see how I could add another. I had 6 plus 1 foster, not counting the other animals. After we lost Sam it took us months to be able to accept that he wasn't leaving. It didn't matter that we loved him it just hurt to accept that she was gone. So Wyatt became part of our family.

Chibi came to us to be our foster ( 3Bunnies ) but in one day we were already trying to find a way to make him part of our family. Within a few weeks I was no longer crying about Sam. He put my heart back together like glue.

Gwyneth Apple Hoshi

Many have heard me say that we were not bringing more home. Shoot I really meant it (for the most part. still wanted a flemmie).Than a friend pmed ( RO ) me on a Thursday night with a link to that thread. I saw Livingston and was like wow BIG. Than Scooter and was like shes pretty. When I saw Apple....I called my husband and we started talking and talking. Than by Saturday I finally dared to ask if she could somehow be transported here. By Sunday night I believe we were discussing how to figure this all out. By the next Sunday she was home with us. 4days thinking about it. 5 days planning. 3 days later she was home. (She came from Ohio.)

I am so in love already. I had the best feeling about it all but was alittle nervous. First look at her and she stole my heart. Rob held her and said to her "I said no more bunnies and than I saw you an said yes. Now you are going to make me love you aren't you." Truth is he loves already. We are trully blessed in having her.

Some little tidbits.
1) She is a dutch which was my husbands first buns breed. The reason he wanted a bunny again.

2) Her name is Apple. Ringos name is Apple in Japanesse. So now she is Gwyneth Apple Hoshi. Hoshi is japanesse for Starr.

3) Ringo and Apples head both tilt to the left.

4) We have tried other times to take in other headtilt buns but some how never worked. Now we know we were waiting for Apple.

5) This is what started our trip. Tell me it wasn't a sign things were meant to be.                      Wild Bunny
